Sleeping Awake

Written by Matthew Warlick

The longest day ever, yet, only a second to dream. Torn between the realities of this world and the next, we must adapt, and find a common ground. Stranded in this sea of chaos, we must recognize our minds need to make sense of it all, while maintaining the childlike innocence of discovery, invention, love, life and death. Time is an illusion, a byproduct of being trapped in this space, housed in this frail, feeble, collapsing framework. There is no tomorrow or yesterday, there is only now.

This moment.

And it is fleeting. Deprived of the eternity, we are forced to live in the here and now; among our fears, our vanities and our petty flaws.
