If you happen to follow me on Facebook you may have seen a conversation or two about my growing dissatisfaction with creating fan art for conventions and how it would be great to see more artists drop the copyrighted characters from their portfolios and focus instead on original work they control and own. Because of those conversations and the reactions to them I’ve decided to put my money where my mouth is and do just that.

Behind The Pages

I was recently interviewed for a documentary about comic artists & illustrators called Comics: Behind The Pages, and they dropped this little teaser today.

This was the first time I’ve had anyone come into my studio space and ask me questions while filming/taking photos. Having a bit of social anxiety made me a tab uncomfortable going in, but I’m trying to get outside my comfort zone these days and was determined to conquer my fear of speaking on camera.

I think I did okay.
