Krasamo makes mobile and custom applications and interfaces with an emphasis on Bluetooth and IoT, but you wouldn’t have known it from their site. I was tasked with repositioning Krasamo, internally and externally, as a modern, forward-thinking application development shop
While a rebrand wasn’t in order, a refresh was. Along with new brand & style guides; we redesigned the website and provided collateral & marketing materials, revamped social channels and kick-started shareable content with blogs and social posts.
A large part of the process was defining it. We decided on an agile-light approach incorproating daily stand-ups and scrum features, with an emphasis on iteration and client engagement. I also developed a creative folder structure to better organize projects and easy SVN check-in.
Initial steps involved market research and competitive visual analysis. An already strong logo let us focus on revamping the overall brand and identity, with a focus on a modern, clean aesthetic with pops of vibrant color.
Despite not having an update in years, the website served as the primary source of sales and marketing efforts, meaning it was top priority yin the rebranding strategy. We iterated quickly to launch a responsive, single-page V1 and fast-followed with a full site and portfolio two weeks later.
Special attention was paid to Search Engine Optimization, allowing for maximum discoverability without ad purchases. Within 30 days site traffic had increased by 400% and began to appear on the first page of targeted Google search results.

2015-2016
My year at Bottle Rocket was a master class in user experience design. In my time there I served as a UX Art Director with a heavy focus on custom iOS and Android platforms. Our team crafted rich user-centered designs from the ground-up; holding strategy sessions, working with lo-fi whiteboard comps, and then moving those into developer-ready production files. We designed solutions that put the user first while meeting client needs and project goals. We made a lot of cool stuff, most of which I can’t show.
Some of the work I can’t show you.
To say Bottle Rocket is user-focused would be an understatement. Every strategy explored and pixel pushed worked to make the experience intuitive, seamless, and pain-free for the user. We collaborated in an agile-light environment involving daily stand-ups, whiteboard strategy sessions, client meetings & presentations, design charrettes, creative production & usability testing.

During my time at Bottle Rocket I was also heavily involved in the LIFT cultural committee. I helped organize events and activities for fellow rocketeers and got to make a ton of really cool collateral for clients, events, and internal promotions that you’ll see more of below.
